3:40 AM, Tornado sirens and the door bell ringing.

OK, so Cathi and I were sound asleep, Dead to the world. Our door bell rings 5 times. We get up to find our neighbor standing in the rain telling us Tornado sirens are going off. I can't hear them but its raining so hard I cant hear anything.

Ok, Long story short.....

Tornado warnings for the area till 4 am, Having flashbacks.....

Ok, all is well thismorning, the brunt of the storm missed us by a few miles. Lots of wind damage but nothing major. gotta go help the neighbors who had a flooded basement. ours stayed dry this time.

We suffer from Hurricanes on some years but at least we have time to prepare, that is not your case and that is why they are so dangerous. Unfortunatly, the difference is that even the biggest twisters will attack harder in some specific spots. The hurricanes, even the small ones, take almost everything in their path. That is also why most of our construction are on brick and cement, not wood.
